I am Aoran Shen, a graduate with a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, specializing in SRE, SDE, Cybersecurity, and Computer Vision. I am currently seeking full-time opportunities in these fields, and I am confident that my technical background and practical experience will bring innovation and value to your team.

During my undergraduate studies, I double-majored in Computer Science and Cybersecurity, which has equipped me with extensive programming, algorithmic, and IT infrastructure skills. I am proficient in Python, Java, and C++ with strong experience in software architecture design and implementation, and I am well-versed in developing large-scale distributed systems. I also have expertise in Linux, Kubernetes/Docker, and AWS cloud infrastructure. Additionally, I am a certified Red Hat Engineer (RHCE) and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.

In graduate school, I focused on machine learning and data science, particularly in the fields of computer vision and natural language processing. I contributed to several research projects, including adversarial neural networks for medical imaging, YOLOv5 optimization, multi-organ tissue segmentation, network intrusion detection using deep learning, and algorithm optimization techniques. I have also earned two Kaggle silver medals, further showcasing my abilities in data analysis and modeling. 1. Participated in the project for a PyTorch implementation of ML-Decoder, a new attention-based classification head.
2. Explored the ViT model, which completely replaces CNN with a self-attention mechanism for the target detection task. Combined this model with the ASAM program and improved the accuracy by 0.54% on the model based on Resnet50 and CIFAR-10 datasets.
3. Conducted image processing, image recognition, research and implementation of deep learning algorithms.
